Dance Teacher & Team Lead
I was trained at Elmhurst Ballet School and Central School of Ballet, graduating with a First-Class degree in Professional Dance. I also have a First-Class degree in Philosophy from the University of Exeter.
My teaching background spans working with dancers from nursery age through to university level. I have coached contemporary dance at the University of Exeter Dance Society, choreographed for ‘Design for Dance’ in collaboration with Central Saint Martins, and led workshops in various dance styles for children and teenagers.
I also have experience supporting students with special educational needs and recently returned from working in Cambodia where I facilitated educational workshops for young people, while leading groups of international student volunteers in-country.
I am passionate about helping young people build confidence and develop their skills, creating safe spaces for dancers to grow and improve in a supportive environment.
Dance Teacher
Hi my name is Maya, I'm a lively and bubbly 23 year old living in Cheltenham and London. I danced from the age of 4 to 15, training in ISTD classical ballet, as well as Modern/Jazz, Tap, contemporary, commercial and musical theatre. I'm also a keen practicer of yoga and flexibility work. I'm so excited to be part of Spiral's fun and inclusive approach, providing a different experience for students every week and keeping things fun yet working hard to improve technique, confidence and performance skills. I love working with kids and adults alike, on all sorts of styles and use my enthusiasm to bounce off everyone in the class! As well as dance, I love to run, swim and go to the gym, as well as quiz nights, cooking, baking and travelling!
Dance Teacher
Ella has been passionate about dance since the age of five and has recently completed her professional training in dance, singing, and acting at Wilkes Academy. Her favourite dance styles are jazz, ballet, and commercial. Throughout her training, Ella has embraced a range of performance opportunities, including appearing in a pantomime in Dublin during the recent Christmas season and performing in a final-year production of The Addams Family musical
Dance Teacher
"I have been dancing since I was 7 years old, and I am trained in all styles. I am a X4 globe winner at the World Championships in Florida and competed with team England Hiphop in 2019. I took my junior team to the Allstar World Championships in Florida this year, in which they received two gold medals - this is one of my greatest achievements!
I am currently training at the Wilkes Academy, after my previous two years at Performers College, Essex. My favourite part of dancing is the way it allows so many people to come out of their shell and express themselves. I have been a coach and choreographer since 2020 and find it the most amazing and rewarding job in the world! I can't wait to continue my journey with Spiral"
